Hi, I'm
EMMA LARSON
WHO I AM
And what I'm looking for.
A Little About Me
An enthusiastic people person, with a tendency to hyper-focus, I work best when I'm able to set my own schedule a little. Descended from a line of graphic designers, I taught myself software like the Adobe Creative Suite and Quark Xpress at an early age, and I spent my teenage years writing code and creating websites for my own enjoyment. I'm very technically savvy– my family started owning Macs in the late 80s and we were on the Internet in 1992, which I think aids in my ability to easily pick up new technology and software. Personally, I have 300+ Twitter followers (the majority of which I think may even be real people!), I still use Instagram mainly for pictures of my cat (but I fully understand its marketing abilities), and I'm figuring out the true scope of Snapchat. I've written sporadically over the years, both fiction and essays, and would love to return to doing so in some real context. I've also done a great deal of editing, both professionally and personally, often giving writer friends a first read through & copy edit on articles they then contributed to such websites as MTV.com, Radio.com, Hello Giggles, and more.
A Time for Change
A native Brooklynite, I moved back to the New York City in 2007, and have since bounced around through every borough (because Staten Island doesn't count). So for 2016, I decided it was time for something new. In the past six months, I left New York, took some time to take care of some family business, and then, to fulfill my need for a change, I moved to Southern Vermont. It's very different, which is certainly what I was looking for, but now I have to find some work that I'm either able to do here, or move somewhere else.
